The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program is designed to prepare the nursing assistant to work under the direction of a licensed nursing professional in long-term care facilities like hospitals and nursing homes, and in private clinics, laboratories, home health agencies, and private care.
The program consists of 80 hours of comprehensive theory and 40 hours of clinical practice. The student will be trained on the fundamental nursing skills for them to be able to provide basic personal care for patients with chronic conditions and disabilities, Alzheimer or those recovering from illness and injury.
He will learn the skills and behavior to effectively interact with clients’ emotional, mental, and social sensitivity.
After completion of the course, the student will be eligible to take the Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Exam.
